Experience

I'm currently working as a web developer in TerminalFour in Dublin. My role here involves integrating existing sites with our web content management system, as well as cutting up designs for new sites gettting integrated. Clients are predominantly Higher Education and Government based with the odd commerical client as well. Some sites I've worked on are: Manchester Metropolitan University, OECD, Liverpool Hope University, Newark Sherwood District Council, International Energy Agency (IEA), NUI Galway, UCD War Studies and SIPTU

My previous employment was with Arekibo on Dublin's Herbert Street as a web designer. For a large portion of that employment I was outsourced from Arekibo to work with one of their major clients the ESB. I worked as part of the ESB head office web team looking after sites such as ESB.ie, esb ecars, ESBI.ie, esbie.ie, rmdservice.com as well as the company intranet.

Before Arekibo my previous work experience was working as a web designer and front end developer in Clearscape web design for 2 years where I worked on both static and cms sites such as Cogg, McLoughlins B2B, CEL and Well Done Mum. My role in Clearscape included responsibilities from designing concepts right through to HTML/CSS build and client training.

Before that I was a Junior Web Designer with saongroup, the umbrella company for sites such as IrishJobs.ie, NIJobs.com, MyJobGroup, CaribbeanJobs.com, Jobs.ie, Jobs.lu, CandidateManager.net and RecruitGulf.com. During this time I received the 2007 IIA Net Visionary Award for 'Web Designer Excellence'.

Key Skills

HTML/XHTML, CSS, Wordpress, CMS Integration, JQuery, Photoshop, Adobe Flash (UI and Actionscript), Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Director and Sound Forge.

In front-end development I've worked with a combination of languages such as XHTML/HTML5, CSS, PHP, XML and .NET in both static sites and CMS/Wordpress integrations.

1st class honours MSc in Multimedia (2006) from DCU
1st class honours Cert, Diploma and Degree in Audio/Visual Media from ITT Dublin

Interests

One of my major passions in life is hockey. I'm an active member of Botanic Hockey Club Glasnevin and play on the 1st team in the club. I've spent much of the past 10 years as a member coaching both the junior and senior teams in the club. I also desinged and built the club's website botanichockeyclub.com.
